Notes on field searching.

Be aware that this field search method searches for specific terms only in the fields you specify. It will not produce comprehensive search results the way the main search page does and it does not support quoted strings of terms the way the main search page does. Unless you need this search method for a specific reason, it is highly recommended that you use the main search page for general searching.

Select a display format:
Short display shows main entry, title and call number fields.
Long display is a full display of all the information in the record.

Index number:		Use this field to search for an index number.
Main entry:		Use this field to search for a composer or ensemble name.
Uniform title:		Use this field to search for an uniform title.
Title:		Use this field to search for a title.
Description:		Use this field to search for a description.
Series:		Use this field to search for a series.
Publisher number:		Use this field to search for a publisher number.
Notes:		Use this field to search for a term(s) in notes.
Subjects:		Use this field to search for a subject.
Other entries:		Use this field to search for other entries.
Call number:		Use this field to search for a call number.
